The video email that went out

The team’s sponsors told the story on camera. We cut it into a 37-second promo with game highlights and Thunderstruck underneath. Each video email opens with it, links the prospect to their own copy of the sponsor catalog, and closes with two short testimonials. Names and company fill in for every recipient.

“We've had great returns for several years. Their fans are always coming in wearing their gear on game nights. If you're thinking about having them as a sponsor, I'd strongly recommend it.”
Andrew Bobacheris, Bobo's Deli and Grill · 5-year sponsor
“We're on the ticket back and get folks coming in because they've seen us there. People love that we support something they support.”

▶  Watch the 37-second video

Hi Jordan,

I run the Twin City Thunderbirds here in Winston-Salem. Our sponsors put it better than I can — the video above is 37 seconds of them talking about what partnering with the team does for their business.

Packages start at $1,000 and we build around your budget. Worth a quick call?

The sequence

Six emails, then it lets go

  1. Email 1 · Video email · day 0

“Our partners keep coming back — see why”

Opens with the 37-second partner video, set to Thunderstruck over game highlights, plus a personal catalog link and two sponsor testimonials.

  2. Email 2 · Personal note · day 7

    “did that land, Jordan?”

A short plain-text check-in that reads hand-typed. One question, no pitch language.

  3. Email 3 · Video email · day 14

“one per category — thought you should know”

One partner per category per season, so the prospect hears it before a competitor takes the spot.

  4. Email 4 · Personal note · day 21

“the number, since I know that's the question”

Answers the question nobody asks out loud: a season starts at $1,000, and most partners land between there and a few thousand.

  5. Email 5 · Video email · day 28

“inventory for the season closes soon”

A real deadline: boards, ice and promo nights go to print, and what's left after that is what's left.

  6. Email 6 · Personal note · day 35

    “should I close this out?”

Gives the prospect an easy no and keeps the door open for next season. Silence ends the sequence here.

Sends from the client's own inbox

Emails go out from the team's own Outlook account, so replies land in a real inbox, not a no-reply address.

A reply stops the sequence

Each reply is matched to the prospect and that person's sequence stops. Nobody gets a follow-up after they've answered.

Hot-lead alerts

When a prospect opens their personal catalog link, the owner gets an alert with the company, contact and fit score while they're still reading.

Merge fields and personal links

Each email carries the prospect's name, company and their own tracked catalog link. Nothing in it reads like a mass blast.
